An Australian radio station has prompted speculation that Soundgarden and Pearl Jam are planning a joint tour in 2013 – leading to double duties for Matt Cameron, who plays drums in both bands.
Chris Cornell’s outfit have finally confirmed the tracklist for comeback album King Animal, and lead single Been Away Too Long will be hitting airwaves soon.
But the band announced their reunion in 2010, meaning their first recorded work since 1996’s Down on the Upside will have been under production for over two years …more

Pearl Jam guitarist Stone Gossard is sharing news about the band’s next studio album.
“We really want to finish a record this year,” Gossard tells Billboard. “[It’s] now between half and three quarters done, but we got some new material and we’re excited about hopefully doing some more work on that later in the year.”
Among that new material, he divulges, is a brand new hard-edged rocker by fellow Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready, “that’s fantastic that reminds me of Motorhead. I hope that that one is in the mix coming up.”… more about Pearl Jam new

Pearl Jam guitarist Stone Gossard gives an update on the band’s currently in-the-works album, revealing that they’re “not in a rush” to finish the disc right away and are instead focusing on breaking new musical ground.

It was getting hard to tell which band was on stage at the Forum in Los Angeles Friday night, as Soundgarden were joined by Pearl Jam guitarist Mick McCready.
With PJ drummer Matt Cameron doing double-duty in both bands these days, McCready’s guest spot could have gone in a few different directions…into a song by either band, a Temple Of The Dog track, or a cover on its own.
